I joined the Pharmacists Online division of Living Naturally company two years ago. The appeal to work for a company such as Living Naturally, blended technology and a rich diversity of natural/complementary and integrative medicine and was the perfect marriage of my background and interests.
My family has been involved in ecology and integrative medicine for three generations. I devoted over 20 years in the Telecommunications industry, both nationally and internationally: telephone/key system installation to Project Manager for the Japanese cellular telephone companies. Part of the expertise I developed related to custom design of sophisticated automated attendant/voice messaging systems; a slimmed down version is known as “IVR” (interactive voice response).
Although introduced to many lines of business, Independent Pharmacies represent the ultimate in the type of customer service that seemed to be lacking in our world of mass chains. Working with our Pharmacists OnLine technology team, we have developed a unique suite of technology solutions for the Independent Pharmacy, to keep pace with the needs of their customers and patients, while offering personal identity and marketing tools needed for the customer service.
I am the Florida Coordinator for The Planetary Society, a non-profit organization established by Dr. Carl Sagan, Louis Friedman and Bruce Murray. My volunteer work involves me with the our local school district for presenting all-things-space oriented. Our recent partnership with the Federation of Galaxy Explorers opens a new venue for kids and adults. From education to summer camp experiences, children can learn about astronomy and see and touch everything from a real NASA space suit to meteorites.
